And I love the fish bone story. It's ironic how everyone's biggest fear about baby led weaning is the choking and yet it teaches the babies such good skills, as proven by Rosie. I think there may have been a bit of an optical illusion with Archie's plate! His was on a much smaller plate, his potato was half as tall as ours and he only had one small fillet. We do exactly the same as you, we don't like to overwhelm his plate and we do top up if he has hoovered up what we gave him. It was really yummy, and best of all, when Rosie ended up with a fish bone in her mouth that I'd missed, she didn't panic but just brought it to her lips and pulled it out - hurray for Baby-led Weaning as I doubt she'd have coped so well if she'd not been having solid "solids" from the start. Just wanted to ask, would Archie eat all of that plateful that you gave him? I just wondered as it looked like it would feed me never mind a two year old! I tend to still give Rosie a very small portion and "top up" from my plate as I worry about over-facing her. Do you get this with Archie? I can't wait to try it. We don't get fish often, unfortunately, as any variety of fresh, wild fish is hard to come by in central Texas! Such a shame, as the kiddos really love it.
